Lessons Learned
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow and asked him, "Can I also sit
like you and do nothing all day long?" The crow answered, "Sure, why not."
So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
Lesson: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Ok, I know this is just a joke, but it made me laugh...! And it reminds me that each day we're given is an opportunity to learn something. We should jump out of bed, excited that God has given us a new day to celebrate our lives.
Over the last 20 years, we all have experienced a lot of change at my house. Some good, some bad. But, with each new day, His mercies are new. We make mistakes. We forget to pray and ask for forgiveness. We carry around hatred, anger, and hostility. We don't pray for those whom we have that hostility towards.
I have learned some GREAT and POWERFUL lessons by praying for those in my past and my present who have hurt me. The Bible says we are to forgive. And not just ONCE. Not just seven times.
"No, not seven times," Jesus replied, "but seventy times seven! (Matthew 18:22 NLT)
EVERY time. Regardless of the situation. We are to forgive. We are to pray about our sins, and let go of them. Give them to God.
We are to pray about our blessings. And God controls them as well.
My wish for you today is that you are able to understand that God has already forgiven you for the things you have done. The things that you did today, and the things that you will do in the future are already forgiven. So truly, walk in the faith that knowing God has it under control, and forgive quickly. We are here on this earth for such a short time, and spending any of that time in resentment is just plain wasteful. God tells us to enjoy our lives, learning along the way how to be better at being the people He needs us to be. Not to waste a MOMENT.
I found this road sign, as a reminder for myself. Each time I see a stop sign, I'm going to try to remind myself to let go, and let God. He's in control of all of it anyways, so why not?!?

I hope you can try this same thing, as a simple, daily reminder that everything is under control. Even if it feels like it isn't, IT IS. He has it all squared away, so relax, and enjoy your days. You are loved!
Have a Happy Thursday tomorrow!
