Today

We have been busy as usual at the Blundell house. The kitchen has been torn out, rebuilt, sheetrocked, textured, painted, trimmed, cleaned, plumbed, vacuumed, and more. We have a few smaller details to complete, but we officially, as of yesterday, have a fully functioning kitchen again, oven and all. We have had a sink, etc. for about a week, but it took a little bit longer to get the oven gas plumbed, etc. But nevertheless, we are up and running, and BOY does it feel good!!


Jason tells me I can't post any more photos of it until after we have a little get together to cristen it... More on that later. I've got some trim to strip paint off of, and staining to do.

The sunshine feels great today, and I hope we can get out in it for as long as possible. We've played tennis at the park with the kids two days this week, Sunday after church and Monday. Today looks like it's shapin up to be a good tennis day, too!

Spencer is up for his last wrestling tournament this weekend in Alliance. Hope you all can make it. He sounds like he might not want to wrestle next year, so this may be IT! Wrestlers start at 9am!

Shelby's first dance recital is this weekend, too. She is so excited, and can hardly contain herself with anticipation of showing us her moves... Saturday at Memorial Hall at CSC, 4:30pm.

I can't wait to see photos of your kitchen. Were you at the Hemingford meet and we just missed you? I think Austin is done for the year so won't be at Alliance, however Adrianne has dance on Sat. so maybe see you there!

We'll see you Saturday at the dance recital. Brayla's performing, too...her first recital. How exciting! Hopefully when you see me I'll be a lot more light-hearted than I've felt in a while. My comps are tomorrow (Friday) and I cannot WAIT for them to be over and done with. I hope I do well, but for now I feel like I have placenta brain and cannot remember anything I've learned over the last two years. LOL

Really not much going on here today. I've been studying like a mad man, it's cold here, kids are busy, same old same old. I did find out yesterday my Aunt Marlene (Mom's sister) has non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She is doing some chemo treatments in the next couple weeks, and we'll see where it goes from there -- please keep her in your prayers. I also need prayers for my friends still struggling financially. Times are tough, and we all have to make sacrifices we typically wouldn't, but hang in there -- it will all be worth it in the end. Christmas Lists

I finally took a few moments and got the Christmas lists posted for our family!  I find it hard to believe we are at this point in the year already.  This has been a crazy year, full of roller-coaster emotions, such busy times, a few slow times, losses for some, gains for many, but it has been another year passed nonetheless. This year, we've seen many changes, and with each change, we learn a little bit more about who we are and what we're capable of. I'm going into this holiday season with a warm heart, and I hope you will too.  God has great things in store for all of us, and I can't wait to see each morning what He's prepared for me.    This past weekend, we traveled to Deadwood with my “work family”, and had a great time. Some of the guys went golfing up near Sturgis (Boulder Canyon) during the morning, but most of us ladies had spent the morning checking out the sales in the citywide garage sales. We started off the trip by meeting together at the office and “caravan-ing” the ladies to the Prairie Berry Winery. With Jason’s back being injured recently, he wasn’t up for golf, so he decided to be our “DD”…          I had never been to a wine tasting, nor a winery, and never had been to Prairie Berry.  It snowed on us on the way up (see photo at right). What an enjoyable experience it was! We were allowed to try up to five wines, (only a half an ounce each), so I tried a variety, albeit most of them were the sweet wines. I am just not a fan of dry or bitter wines.
