Lookin back

Not too often are we given the opportunity to look back in time. We found a really neat way today... My mom gave me a cookbook for Christmas a few years ago that is a new version of the exact same Betty Crocker cookbook I used when I was learning to cook at home.

There are new recipes, of course, but there is one entire section towards the back of the book that is a collection of all the same recipes that were our family favorites. So we gathered some ideas, and laughed through some memories of times in our past where we cooked/baked with our family, and the fun we had.

And then to boot, Jason and the kids played in the snow. Since he does snow removal, he will often scoop out our driveway and clean off our streets, and pile all the snow he can get picked up onto one place around our home, so we can use it for snow creations.

We didn't make a snow pumpkin or anything like that, but we did carve out several slides on a eight foot pile of snow. Jason had a great time playing in the snow, and so did the kids.
