Sleepy Friday

Well, we're up and going... well, maybe at least up!! Jason and I have been working very hard on garage sale items, and sorting, and cleaning, and organizing, and hauling away, and, and, and, and,... We should have one heck of a garage sale, and I should know where most of my stuff from the last 10 years is now!!

We have been working in the garage until after 10 (or later) for the past few nights, and Spence, not having to go to school today, decided I should have to get up EARLY, because he wanted to go to work with me and Grandma Elaine at the plant. He and Grandma E are having their ceremonial chai tea and watching X-Men on the couch, and Grandpa Roy keeps offering him candy bars. Some things never change!

He's havin fun hangin out with Grandma, and he'll sleep good tonight, tho, right?!?!?

Beck called and is coming over for a doc appt and a WalMart run, so we're going to try to meet up with her for an early lunch. Spence hasn't had chinese food, so he's not sure about it, but we'll treat him to some yummy goodies, and he'll be begging to go back!

I'm so glad the wind isn't as bad today -- it was so beautiful last night and this morning with no wind, I just wanted to sit outside and enjoy it!

Life goes on... Right?

Well, I suppose I had better get back to these statements so I can get away from here and get back to finishing my preparations for the garage sale.

Jess, I sure hope your garage sale goes well and you make lots of $. I know how much work and time it takes to get everything ready...wishing you lots of luck and many sales! :)

Really not much going on here today. I've been studying like a mad man, it's cold here, kids are busy, same old same old. I did find out yesterday my Aunt Marlene (Mom's sister) has non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She is doing some chemo treatments in the next couple weeks, and we'll see where it goes from there -- please keep her in your prayers. I also need prayers for my friends still struggling financially. Times are tough, and we all have to make sacrifices we typically wouldn't, but hang in there -- it will all be worth it in the end. Christmas Lists

I finally took a few moments and got the Christmas lists posted for our family!  I find it hard to believe we are at this point in the year already.  This has been a crazy year, full of roller-coaster emotions, such busy times, a few slow times, losses for some, gains for many, but it has been another year passed nonetheless. This year, we've seen many changes, and with each change, we learn a little bit more about who we are and what we're capable of. I'm going into this holiday season with a warm heart, and I hope you will too.  God has great things in store for all of us, and I can't wait to see each morning what He's prepared for me.    This past weekend, we traveled to Deadwood with my “work family”, and had a great time. Some of the guys went golfing up near Sturgis (Boulder Canyon) during the morning, but most of us ladies had spent the morning checking out the sales in the citywide garage sales. We started off the trip by meeting together at the office and “caravan-ing” the ladies to the Prairie Berry Winery. With Jason’s back being injured recently, he wasn’t up for golf, so he decided to be our “DD”…          I had never been to a wine tasting, nor a winery, and never had been to Prairie Berry.  It snowed on us on the way up (see photo at right). What an enjoyable experience it was! We were allowed to try up to five wines, (only a half an ounce each), so I tried a variety, albeit most of them were the sweet wines. I am just not a fan of dry or bitter wines.
