Music in my heart!!!

This weekend was Music Sunday at our church, as well as Shelby's TrebleMakers' Choir concert. Our handbell choir played several selections, our vocal choir sang quite a few numbers, and our praise team (more contemporary band playing our favorite christian music during church) did a few numbers too. It was great.

After church, we went home and ate a quick lunch, and ran down to the Arts Center to get ready for Shelby's concert. At this concert, we had the CSC girls choir, "Arioso", the Adult Community Choir, and The TrebleMakers Children's Choir-- it was fabulous!

I got a few pictures, but had a hard time getting any good ones -- this event was well attended!! You will notice that Shelby couldn't stand still... she had a similar issue at her school concert... lol :0) Shelby and her friend Abby before the performance

Small group singers (notice Shelby in the background...)

Shelby and her small group of singers... she had a part to sing with these kids during the song we all grew up with in sunday school... "This Little Light of Mine". How CUTE!

Haley and Alexis being patient, waiting for the concert to get going again (while they changed groups)

Spence really wasn't into the concert... I asked him if he was enjoying the music, and he looked at me and said, "Huh-uh." I assumed that wasn't a good time to ask him if he wanted to participate in this children's choir next year...

...In Other News...

Mom and Dad gave us their basketball hoop from the plant, and the kids have been playing outside as much as they could. We were so relieved to see the sun Sunday morning... the rain was wonderful, but it took some of us a minute to figure out what that yellow circle was way up in the sky!

Once we figured the sun was going to stay out for a while, we decided to launch Spencer's rocket he got for Easter. It was great -- and I think we may have started something with this kid and rockets...! Here are a few photos I took of the exciting countdown and the long awaited event!

Setting up...

Just a goober photo...

A successful launch!!! (And recovery, so we can do it again!)

Just a typical Monday here other than that... people are starting to get bit by the spring bug and get some concrete and rock projects going, so business is back in full swing!!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and enjoy the sunshine this week!

A couple of quick prayer requests: My Uncle Jerry's first wife (thus my cousins' Mom) passed away this past week. Please include her and the family in your prayers.

Also, Grandpa Clay needs prayers too... he's rapidly losing weight and is having some issues with eating. Doctor appointments to come should reveal the source of the problem, but pray for him, if you will!

Thanks!
