Snow, wind... MELT!
Well, we made it through our snow days!! We just tried to enjoy spending time together. We didn't really do much -- we drove around in Jason's pickup checking out the snow and all the cars that were stuck. We at one point, had even drove to a friend's house to help them dig out from all the snow.
I took some pictures of the snow and some of the vehicles that were stuck.

It's really amazing when the snow falls in such large amounts, but it's even more astounding when the wind blows it in drifts as tall as large trucks...!
The kids and Jason put together a snow bunny (a small one, 'cause the snow was too wet to pack very well...). It is a good thing I took pictures right away, because it is nearly 40 degrees here today and he's melting quickly! ;-( We ran home for lunch, and the bunny has unfortunately lost an ear, a nose, his eyes fell out (eeek!), and he has lost a few pounds. I'm sure the kids will be sad to see him melting when they arrive home after school, but at least we got pictures!!!

Haley was having more fun throwing snow balls at her siblings -- and her mom (with the camera!) Here she is rolling on the ground laughing because she just pummeled me with a snowball!
Nearly finished...
Spence was off on the east side of the yard gathering snowballs to smack Haley with...!
The complete snow bunny, the finished product, is the first photo on our blog (with the title).
Some consolation towards his melting today might be involved in the fact that there are about 15 foot piles of snow 50 feet long at the school for the kids to play on. The snow removal at the plant and our vendors around town was very time consuming this time, but all the kids are just eating up the time in the snow!!!
So. I guess that's it for today. Just snow. Melting. Mud. More Mud.
Have a good Wednesday!
