Can we get the weekend back?
Jason and I did absolutely as little as possible over the weekend. That was definitely NOT what we intended to do, but we've just been working on the house, shop, studying, etc., etc., etc... I think we just needed some down time. The kids were with Mom and Dad Leibbrandt over the weekend, and they had lots of fun.
We attended our godsons' wrestling match on Saturday, and they both did SOOOO well! We're proud of both of them. And little sister Megan was a barrel of monkeys to keep up with. We were all on our toes running after her!
We came home, showered up and went out for a really nice quiet dinner at the Grove. Their prime rib was fantastic!!! It was quite peaceful!! We went home and turned in early, watching our Netflix movie, and sleeping in late on Sunday. What a lazy weekend, but it feels nice to come to work on Monday not feeling tired already!!!
We also had a nice lunch at Mom and Dad's Sunday. We went out to pick up the kids and some fresh meat from them, and Mom had fixed a wonderful pork chop and macaroni meal for us. Yummy!!
I saw this joke today, and got a good laugh -- hope you enjoy it too!!
An Illinois man left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day.
When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email. Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her email address, he did his best to type it in from memory.
Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream and fell to the floor in a dead faint. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:
DEAREST WIFE: JUST GOT CHECKED IN. EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL TOMORROW.
P.S. SURE IS HOT DOWN HERE.
Have a good day!!
