Monday again?

Phew, the weekend went fast!! And wouldn't you know it, I am here at work again, and I forgot my camera so I could post my pix!! Haley and Ashley (my niece) went to the middle school dance Friday night, and they were both beautifully dressed, and I thing a good time was had by all. I'll get those photos uploaded as soon as I get my poop in a group...!

We made a quick trip to Phae's last night work for us -- we dropped in on Becky and the kids. Our kids were so excited to see them!! Thanks Beck for letting us crash your party!! We were only there for a brief visit, but we didn't have to ask our kids to go to bed twice -- they crashed as soon as we got home. They were dancing and playing pretty hard at Becks, so they were good and worn out!! Spence was actually asleep in the pickup about halfway home!!!

And in other news... Jason and Haley spent most of the weekend in the shop. Our 1969 Mustang is now IN THE SHOP and ready to be worked on!! Yay!! Jason set a goal to have it running before the end of summer this year. I am so excited!! I have never seen his car in any other form than what it is now. PIECES! All of our motorcycles, engines, and all other goodies are fairly well arranged in the garage, and I think we could get both of our vehicles in the shop, even with the Mustang in there! We'll post pictures of that too -- I promise!

Also -- we're getting a newer pickup -- so if you know of anybody looking for a 1997 3/4 ton crew cab 4X4 POWERSTROKE diesel, let 'em know how to get ahold of us -- we need to sell our pickup ASAP!

I had better get back to it -- the concrete plant is busy this morning, and Dad's got lots of errands and other stuff for me to do, since it's Mom's day off! And I still don't know what I am making for the crew for lunch... maybe leftovers???!?!?

Really not much going on here today. I've been studying like a mad man, it's cold here, kids are busy, same old same old. I did find out yesterday my Aunt Marlene (Mom's sister) has non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She is doing some chemo treatments in the next couple weeks, and we'll see where it goes from there -- please keep her in your prayers. I also need prayers for my friends still struggling financially. Times are tough, and we all have to make sacrifices we typically wouldn't, but hang in there -- it will all be worth it in the end. One resource I can recommend on money expertise is DaveRamsey.com -- he's the guy responsible for the Financial Peace University that Jason and I took a couple of years ago. Christmas Lists

I finally took a few moments and got the Christmas lists posted for our family!  I find it hard to believe we are at this point in the year already.  This has been a crazy year, full of roller-coaster emotions, such busy times, a few slow times, losses for some, gains for many, but it has been another year passed nonetheless. This year, we've seen many changes, and with each change, we learn a little bit more about who we are and what we're capable of. I'm going into this holiday season with a warm heart, and I hope you will too.  God has great things in store for all of us, and I can't wait to see each morning what He's prepared for me.    This past weekend, we traveled to Deadwood with my “work family”, and had a great time. Some of the guys went golfing up near Sturgis (Boulder Canyon) during the morning, but most of us ladies had spent the morning checking out the sales in the citywide garage sales. We started off the trip by meeting together at the office and “caravan-ing” the ladies to the Prairie Berry Winery. With Jason’s back being injured recently, he wasn’t up for golf, so he decided to be our “DD”…          I had never been to a wine tasting, nor a winery, and never had been to Prairie Berry.  It snowed on us on the way up (see photo at right). What an enjoyable experience it was! We were allowed to try up to five wines, (only a half an ounce each), so I tried a variety, albeit most of them were the sweet wines. I am just not a fan of dry or bitter wines.
