Better day today!

Much better day today. The sun is shining, I am getting closer to painting my living room, Grandma is getting settled into the nursing home, and I spoke with a few of the staff members there. They are SOOO nice!!! I am impressed so far with the facility. I just don't know how Grandma feels yet. I know initially, she wasn't keen on the idea, but knew that Doctor Sandy knows best, and she needed the extra help in healing. I think she is doing well, though. Every time I call, I catch her at a bad time -- mealtime, naptime, etc. I will keep trying!

Still no news on Uncle Harry -- no news is good news, I guess. We will wait to hear as patiently as possible.

Anyways, lots going on today -- busy here at the plant, and I had a great opportunity to visit with a local producer that I used to work with at NRCS -- we designed several livestock pipelines and tank setups for his land, and I really enjoyed visiting with him, since he stopped in at the plant. He and his buddy were checking on the crushed concrete we're producing.

Right now we have a crusher crew based out of Wyoming that has traveled here to crush it for us -- that's why I am working on a grant, so that we can have our OWN crusher and not have to pay such exhorbitant fees! It is in progress. Mom and I beat feet last week in a desperate attempt to get enough information put together for the grant application, but we decided that there is just too much info they needed, so we are going to shoot for the September deadline, and hopefully have some grant money for next summer's crushing!!

Well, I suppose I had better get back to work -- I'm off to pick up the kids from school.

My cousins Brad and Terri need your prayers, too. Terri's Grandma had a heart attack, and she is in the hospital. Keep them in your prayers!

Seems like we've had a lot to pray about lately, but lots of prayers for good things, too!!

Really not much going on here today. I've been studying like a mad man, it's cold here, kids are busy, same old same old. I did find out yesterday my Aunt Marlene (Mom's sister) has non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She is doing some chemo treatments in the next couple weeks, and we'll see where it goes from there -- please keep her in your prayers. I also need prayers for my friends still struggling financially. Times are tough, and we all have to make sacrifices we typically wouldn't, but hang in there -- it will all be worth it in the end. Christmas Lists

I finally took a few moments and got the Christmas lists posted for our family!  I find it hard to believe we are at this point in the year already.  This has been a crazy year, full of roller-coaster emotions, such busy times, a few slow times, losses for some, gains for many, but it has been another year passed nonetheless. This year, we've seen many changes, and with each change, we learn a little bit more about who we are and what we're capable of. I'm going into this holiday season with a warm heart, and I hope you will too.  God has great things in store for all of us, and I can't wait to see each morning what He's prepared for me.    This past weekend, we traveled to Deadwood with my “work family”, and had a great time. Some of the guys went golfing up near Sturgis (Boulder Canyon) during the morning, but most of us ladies had spent the morning checking out the sales in the citywide garage sales. We started off the trip by meeting together at the office and “caravan-ing” the ladies to the Prairie Berry Winery. With Jason’s back being injured recently, he wasn’t up for golf, so he decided to be our “DD”…          I had never been to a wine tasting, nor a winery, and never had been to Prairie Berry.  It snowed on us on the way up (see photo at right). What an enjoyable experience it was! We were allowed to try up to five wines, (only a half an ounce each), so I tried a variety, albeit most of them were the sweet wines. I am just not a fan of dry or bitter wines.
