Progress...

We certainly managed to make a mess tonight, since I had to find among all the goodies we moved out of the room enough scrappin stuff to finish a project.
In addition, we looked a little closer on the wall crumbling situation, and... well... it involved a little more cleanup than we were planning. But it is just a little more scrubbing, vacuuming (the pieces that keep coming off), and once the surface is repaired, we can paint that wall and be done with the room. Sounds bad, but it's just a little bit more work than we initially thought it would be.

We are making good progress, though. I am getting really excited to get everything put back in the room once the 2nd coat of paint is done and the carpet is down. I took a picture of my hubby slaving away on that darn wall...I also wanted to post a slide show of our hunting trip this past weekend; we went pheasant hunting. We walked quite a ways, and the kids kept up really well. Towards the end though, the little ones had to walk through a field of corn and pull a stalk so they could use it for a walking stick. How cute! It was great fun, and since we didn't get any birds, when we were done, we picked lost ears of corn off the ground (what was left after the harvest), threw them in the air as high as we could and SHOT at them!

Jason was so disappointed that we didn't get any birds, even though we saw quite a few. I figured that would be a way to get his spirits up, and it really did. The little ones couldn't believe that Mommy and Daddy could hit those things flying through the air. Haley did very well shooting too, but the funniest thing she did was after we were done with the guns. We loaded all of our rifles and ammo back into the vehicle, and Haley ran out and picked up the ears of corn we had shot at. She started wringing the hard corn kernels off the ear, and throwing fistfuls at all of us. Before we knew it, we were all doing the same thing. We ran out of corn, so we went out and looked in the field for more. We just really let loose and had a corn fight! What a bunch of "cornballs" we were, but it really was fun! Everyone was laughing and running around. It was like we were all kids again!

Anyways, I wanted to share some of the photos we took while we were hunting, so please enjoy.

Hope you all have a good Thursday! Happy Birthday, Jerami (Wed, today) and Mom L. (Thurs)!
